Incorporated in 2011, Pro-Fin Engineering Inc. is a Vancouver (BC, Canada) based engineering firm now focusing on pipeline leaks detection and verification. ProFinLD™ leak detection technique is a next generation of technology we have developed (patented in 2019) for such tasks, with unique features that have solved the two key technical problems and application issues of a RTTM (Real Time Transient Model) techniques/systems: 1) Its leak strength threshold is very small, close to zero; 2) It is able to detect existing leaks. Particularly the technique can be applied to any existing pipeline as long as there are sensors at ends to provide readings that are required. If a pipeline has equipped with any online leak detection system, our ProFinLD™ leak detection technique can be used to verify existing leaks, or to provide very much earlier leak warnings; If a pipeline has not equipped with any online leak detection system, frequently using our ProFinLD™ leak detection technique as suggested will have similar effects as if a RTTM system is equipped.

On whether a pipeline leaks: We can assess any of the existing pipelines with our ProFinLD™ if sensors have been installed at its both ends

On monitoring whether a pipeline leaks: We can do it in real time monitoring way, or in our ProFinLD™ style leak detection way
